Moxie Movie on Netflix: Trailer, Release Date, Cast & Plot
Moxie movie is a comedy-drama starring Hadley Robinson, Lauren Tsai, Josephine Langford, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Babak Khajehpour. The film is directed by Amy Poehler with a screenplay by Tamara Chestna and Dylan Meyer. It is based on the novel of the same name by Jennifer Mathieu.
The movie follows the girl Inspired by her mom’s rebellious past and a confident new friend, a shy 16-year-old publishes an anonymous zine calling out sexism at her school.
Adjusted from Jennifer Mathieu’s 2017 novel of a similar name, the Moxie Movie at any rate gives its hero the sort of prickly love triangle I wish more stories about teenage young ladies would handle: the appearance of another associate that startlingly challenges best fellowships. Vivian has been best pals with Claudia since preschool, however new young lady Lucy draws out a more confident and political side of Vivian that Claudia’s only occasionally seen. Vivian is mostly electrified by seeing the little shameful acts at her school through a new pair of eyes, in particular those of Lucy, who is focused for her bluntness (and presumably her race) by Mitchell, the commander of the football crew and a top pick of the state of affairs upholding Principal Shelly.
Through her zine (which she names “Moxie”), Vivian acts like simply one more modest, a contemplative young lady by day and endeavors to dispatch a limited scale upheaval around evening time, proposing fights chauvinist school arrangements, similar to clothing regulations that basically punish young ladies. It’s the understudies of shading, less Claudia, who’ve never been valued by the organization or supported by their kindred understudies who cotton to the zine’s message of opposition first. Yet, the Instagram exhibitions and study hall walkouts before long wind into greater and more clear difficulties to the school’s microaggressive culture — a change that thrills Vivian, yet puts a virtual abundance on the personality of the individual behind the distribution.
